Fun Fall Activities In and Around the Seaport Sep 25, 2020
Boston is at its most beautiful throughout the fall – the air is crisp, the scenery is bursting with color, and the temperatures are mild. As the sweater weather season begins, we’ve made a list of the best autumnal activities to explore both in and around the Seaport.
Celebrate Octoberfest
Enjoy fall’s favorite festival at Harpoon’s 2020 OctoberFeast. This year, the brewery is putting on a German-inspired, four-course meal paired with a complimentary Octoberfest beer. Limited reservations are now available for October 3 and October 4 from 12 pm – 3 pm or 4 pm – 7 pm.
See Some Live Music
The Seaport is hosting a new pop up music series, Tiny Cash Wrap Concerts, at local businesses throughout the fall. Stop by to see live performances by Boston musicians and support Seaport stores with exclusive deals and the chance to win a $200 gift card.
Conquer a Corn Maze
Connors Farm has reopened its seasonal corn maze now through November 1. Explore the farm’s seven-acre maze, enjoy a variety of food and drink options, and shop at the fresh farm stand filled with seasonal staples like pumpkins, hardy mums, native apples, and freshly squeezed apple cider.
Go Apple Picking
Apple picking is a quintessential fall activity, and, lucky for us, there are plenty of well-regarded farms and orchards just a short drive from the Seaport.
Shelburne Farm accepts walk-ins seven days a week for both apple and pumpkin picking.
Brooksby Farm is open for apple picking Tuesday through Sunday from 10 am – 4 pm. Swing by on the weekend, and you can also visit their new Donut Hut!
Cider Hill Farms is known for its apple picking and hard cider – planted, grown, harvested, and pressed all on their 145-acre farm.
Take a Hike
Hiking is one of the best ways to take advantage of autumn’s pleasant temperatures and breathtaking scenery. Here are a few of our favorite hiking spots just outside the city:
