Have a Fun Afternoon with Friends in the Seaport Feb 28, 2022
If you’re looking for a fun way to brighten up these long winter days, grab a few friends and head out for an afternoon in the Seaport! Below, we’ve rounded up a few of our favorite group activities from film screenings to Olympic sports.
Oscar-Nominated Short Films at the ICA
Back for its 16th year, the Institute of Contemporary Art is screening the 2022 Oscar-nominated short films. Fans of animation, live-action, and documentaries will have a chance to watch this year’s nominees just in time for the Oscars on Sunday, March 27. There are a number of afternoon and evening showings, and tickets are only $10 for non-members (gallery admission sold separately).
For those who enjoy a little friendly competition, Flight Club Social Darts is the perfect group activity. Grab up to 12 of your friends for an afternoon or evening spent playing a fast-paced game of darts while enjoying craft cocktails and delicious food. Reservations are recommended, and pricing is $12 / per person for 90 minutes of play.
Bowling at KINGS
KINGS Dining and Entertainment is a one-stop shop for an afternoon of fun. Lace up your bowling shoes and head to the lanes, or enjoy a few rounds of pool, shuffleboard, or games in the 1 Up Retrocade. If all this activity is making you hungry, KINGS also has a full restaurant with plenty of drinks and snacks to share. Pricing varies and reservations are recommended.
If the recent Winter Olympics have you daydreaming about going for the gold, head to the Snowport to try your hand at curling. This iceless version of the popular winter sport is perfect for those warmer afternoons, and will have you feeling like an Olympian in no time! Curling is free and runs daily until February 27.
