Looking for fun winter things to do? When you live at Ora Seaport, you live near Boston winter activities that will keep the vibes up, even when temperatures are down! Below we’ve gathered some of our favorite things to do in Seaport during the winter.
Go Ice Skating
It’s time for you to experience ice skating in Boston! Visit Frog Pond at Boston Common, open seven days a week from December to March. Rent a pair of skates, enjoy the café, and sign up for a lesson to build your skills. You can even bring your own sled to enjoy one of the most beloved free winter activities in Boston, sledding, in America’s oldest park! This is your movie moment.
Grab Your Skis
No list of winter activities in Boston would be complete without acknowledging our proximity to some of the best slopes around. The White Mountains, Nashoba Valley, and Blue Hills are beloved skiing destinations close enough to the city that they don’t have to be activities for winter break – visit after work and blow off some steam!
Explore Snowport
Things to do in Seaport during the winter months simply don’t get better than the Snowport. Reserve a free curling lane, attend a Betty the Yeti Cocktail Crawl, or participate in a Harpoon Brewery tour. The Snowport has both winter things to do outside in Seaport, and warm respites from the cold!
Experience Art
Some of the most fun indoor activities during the winter involve engaging with local culture. Visit the Boston Symphony Orchestra or the Institute of Contemporary Art. ICA’s free Thursday nights are a must-enjoy Seaport winter activity!
Take a Snowy Walk
If you’re looking for outdoor winter activities in Boston, we recommend visiting the Arnold Arboretum, which is open (and free) every single day. Another one of our favorite Boston things to do in the winter is to walk down the Esplanade and stop by Frosty Fridays.
When the weather gets tough, our city gets going. Enjoy finding fun winter activities in Boston and making memories with those you love. Warmer days are on their way!
