Best July Events in the Seaport Jun 24, 2021
Boston’s Seaport District hosts exciting public programs year-round, but in the summer, the neighborhood’s perennially lengthy calendar of events somehow grows even longer. Barre-fusion bootcamps, brewery tours, and kayaking classes are among the numerous July happenings that take over Seaport Common, the Sea Green, and the ICA. Below, we share some of our favorite events slated for July 2021.
The ICA rings in Thursday nights by offering complimentary admission from 5-9pm— your specific entry time is determined by the timed ticket you can purchase starting at 10am that day. The temporary exhibitions on view include Ragnar Kjartansson: The Visitors, a sound-and-video installation that explores loneliness and companionship. Also of note is Virgil Abloh: Figures of Speech, opening July 3, which celebrates the work of the namesake artist and Louis Vuitton designer.
Landry’s Bicycles and Amazon inspect Bostonians’ bikes for wear, alignment, and damage, and tune them up, on Wednesday mornings from 7:30-11:30am— check-ups are complimentary, as long as you register here in advance.
The Seaport Farmers Market brings fresh, seasonal delicacies to Sea Green Park from 2 to 6pm on summer and autumn Thursdays: Bread, produce, meat, and cheese are among the items on offer, by a rotating selection of Massachusetts and New England vendors.
Tuscan Kitchen MoveBoston Bootcamp
MoveBoston offers one-hour fitness classes on summer Sundays at 10am. Along with attending a vigorous workout session, adjusted for your fitness level, you can refresh yourself with one of Tuscan Kitchen’s brunch drinks— they’re complimentary for everyone who takes the class.
Seaport Sweat
Seaport Sweat hosts complimentary classes all summer long, including Mindful Warrior Yoga, Mondays at 6:30pm; Athletic Conditioning, Tuesdays at 5:30pm; Zumba, Wednesdays at 5:30pm; Abs and Body, Thursdays at 6:30pm; and Vinyasa Yoga, Fridays at 12pm. All are streamed live on the Boston Seaport’s Instagram for those who can’t make it in person.
Harpoonfest will bring together award-winning beer by the namesake brewery, and music by local DJs and rock and funk artists, from July 22-24. Tickets—which include a drink ticket and souvenir cup—are $25-49, with a discount for frontline workers who attend on July 22.
Taking place from noon to 6pm on Sunday, July 25, the July edition of Black Owned Boston Market will feature vendors of skincare, beauty products, and packaged foods from throughout Greater Boston— all set to the music of local DJ Knszwrth.
